Artist Peter Young : is an award
winning photographer who has produced images for approximately 40
years. Since his retirement in 2001 he has concentrated on the
development and perfection of his photographic skills. His images have
been shown in several publications and he has received awards from and
placement in Juried shows in the Brampton, Burlington, Hamilton,
Milton and Mississauga areas. He has had solo and group shows;
his most recent ended on the 22nd of April 2012 at the Holcim Gallery,
Milton, Ontario.
In 2006 he turned his interest to Infrared digital photography which
has resulted in the creation of the numerous images which are available
for viewing. He has a keen interest in abstraction and altered reality
images which generates thought.

Statement
My
work is focused on my goal of highlighting and celebrating the
dignity and wondrous elements displayed by nature, people and animals.
I wish to inspire viewers to experience a moment of recognition and
realization that we are surrounded by a glorious world and that we are
but one element in the grand scheme.
I
utilize colour, black and white and Infrared capture methods to
accomplish my vision. My images often include the hand of
man in juxtaposition with nature showing our intervention and
affect.
