Artist
Muriel
Watson : is a Burlington resident who has a great interest in
Calligraphy,
and also enjoys painting in watercolour. Muriel frequently adds touches
of other media, such as gold leaf, prisma pencils, and inks.
She
has
been interested in creative art all her life, and in her youth, earned
her living by showcard writing. Later in life, she taught floral Design
at Sheridan College for sixteen years. She has taken lessons in
Calligraphy
and other media for a number of years from Cora Brittan (of Hamilton)
and
in watercolour from Kathryn Bourbonniere at the Royal Botanical Gardens.

enjoys the precision and imagery of calligraphy and the delicacy of
