Artist
Kathryn Bourbonniere - I live in Burlington ON. I have been
painting for 30 years and have a B.S. and an M.A. in art
education. I like to experiment with the element of surprise.
Therefore, I try to maintain a more impressionistic and painterly style.
I
am currently working on a series of paintings that depict light in the
landscape as a sign of hope and inspiration. I am using acrylics and
mixed media to explore this theme. Keeping these paintings loose
and free helps me to explore the subject in a more personal way. Moving
away from the realistic approach allows me to express the emotion in
the landscape more fully.
